Other Links | Take a gander in your neighborhood and you will see that the housing landscape has changed dramatically, there are many new designs and interesting places created entirely by the player population. A perfect gold sink and something to keep you occupied for hours on end. Creating the home or establishment of your dreams is just a click away. Homes can be more personalized, built for specific needs, and desires. The house customization tool provides the only means of upgrading, designing, and editing, houses in Ultima Online. It is located inside your house sign when you press the 'customize this house button'. It is probably one of the most significant additions to the game thus far. I have been busy designing and redesigning my homes, as I know many of you have been also. With that being said, I am currently in the process of getting a few pictures up of the houses I have done so far. There are many examples and redesigns of the properties which I now own (don't even ask!). I can say one thing my bank boxes have never looked so empty before! I will be updating this site with more info to help make home building less stressful. I hope you take the time to look over the tips and tricks section as it holds many things that will help in deciding what to use and where, as well as a lot of invaluable information to make your house customization easier and cheaper (I or my friends have made the mistakes so you would not have to!). Also view the renders in the render section and compare them to some of the actual designs so that you can have a great starting out point for your ideas. But most of all have fun! You have a virtual blank canvas at your fingertips, let your imagination go and try many wall types and configurations before hitting that commit button! There are a few sections to the site: FAQ: this section covers the information released on the mini site. It also contains information from the various forums where questions have been asked and answered by official OSI employees. Tips and Tricks: Do's and Don'ts as well as tips you should not miss before you hit that commit button! Customized House Examples: these are the actual examples of houses designed with the Customized housing tool. (you need to have AOS to customize your home, though you will be able to see customzied houses without it.) Contest Finalists: the 10 finalists chosen by Ianstorm for the OSI sponsored Fansite Design Contest. When the winner is chosen I will post a special link just for their entry. A new house mini will be made from that design. Renders Section House designs and ideas, pre Aos, to which you can compare the renders to actual designs.
